Camp Hill Cemetery…

June 23, 2013

_DSC4709I love that Camp Hill Cemetery, the second oldest cemetery in this 400 year-old city of Halifax, beautifully lush and maintained, allows the head stones to succumb to time should no one (family, friends) offer to maintain them. It gives the place a wonderful air of antiquity – the idea that the stones themselves, will one day return to the earth – ashes to ashes, dust to dust.

I have also discovered to that photographing cemeteries is much harder than it first appears.
